light therapy – pop up installation

Double Rainbow’s goal is to counter SAD in our Pacific Northwest community and bring awareness to mental health and overall wellbeing through practices such as color light therapy, breathing meditations, and awareness of the present moment. A reflection pool, in the form of a rainbow, is positioned on the floor nearby, welcoming negative ions to aid in serotonin production.

In this installation, become aware of your breathing and connect to the present moment. Embrace the light that is inside you. Share a moment with your loved ones bathed in a rainbow. What do you feel embraced by light? Have you ever seen a rainbow begin to form? What does it feel like to be in that moment? Have you ever laid under the end of a rainbow? Between the end and beginning – Rain and Sun; Rain and Light.
